Working visit of President of Sri Lanka to India (May 13-14, 2016)

H.E. MaithripalaSirisena, President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, is making a working visit to India on May 13 and 14. He will address the valedictory session at the VaicharickMahakumbh which is being held as part of the SimhasthaMahakumbh in Ujjain on the 14th of May. He will also visit Sanchi where he will tour the World famous Sanchi Stupa and attend a function by the Mahabodhi Society of Sri Lanka during which he will unveil a statute of AngarikaDharmapala. The President of Sri Lanka will also be in Delhi tomorrow where Prime Minister will host a dinner in his honour.

We are confident that this visit by H.E. Sirisena will contribute to further strengthening the close and cooperative relations between India and Sri Lanka.
