A webinar was jointly organised yesterday by ASSOCHAM, India and Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Sri Lanka to discuss the post pandemic economic recovery. 

2. Speaking at the Webinar, Ms. Suja K. Menon, Head of Economic and Commercial Wing, High Commission of India noted that coordinated efforts, between Governments and businesses in the two countries, will ensure faster economic recovery. Citing the recent ceremony of presentation of credentials by the Indian High Commissioner to President of Sri Lanka through a video conference,  a first for both India and Sri Lanka, she noted that innovative use of technology is vital to deal with the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prof. Prabir De, Head of ASEAN Indian Centre (AIC), Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), India , Mr. Manjula de Silva, Chief Executive Officer of Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Deepak Sood, Secretary General, ASSOCHAM, Mr. Anil K. Agrawal, President, Cosmos Group and Past President of ASSOCHAM, Mr. Shiran Fernando, Chief Economist,  Ceylon Chamber of Commerce were the other panelists at the webinar.
