Visa Free Agreement For Diplomatic And Official/Service Passports
1. An Agreement between India and Sri Lanka on establishing visa-free regime for diplomatic and official passports came into effect from 15 September 2015. Maximum duration of stay in this case is 30 days.
2. However, a citizen of either country, who is assigned as a member of Diplomatic or Consular staff or as a representative of his/her country in an International Organization located in the territory of either country and is in possession of a valid diplomatic or official passport, shall be required to obtain visa prior to their entry into the territory of the other country.
3. The duration of the Diplomatic and Official passport of the national of the either of the countries shall be valid for at least six months on the date of entry into the territory of the other country.
