Students of South Eastern University of Sri Lanka and Sabaragamuwa University to participate in BLISSPOINT 2011 in India

- Six members each from the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka and the Sabaragamuwa University will be travelling to India today to participate in BLISSPOINT 2011, from 13-16 October, 2011. This is an annual Economics students' summit that is organized by the Economics Association of Sri Venkateswara College, Delhi University.
- The India-Sri Lanka Foundation, which is supporting the participation of the Sri Lankan students at the event, had also supported their participation in BLISSPOINT 2009 and 2010.
- Recently 15 members of the Ravibandhu-Samanthi Dance Ensemble participated at the 4th SAARC Folklore Festival, 4 eminent personalities of the Sri Lankan film industry participated at the South Asian Film Festival at Goa, 14 members of the Jaffna District under 19 Cricket team played a cricket match against Delhi Public School, R. K. Puram and 10 students of St. Patrick's College, Jaffna participated in a Student Exchange Programme with St. Francis School, New Delhi. Through supporting such activities the India - Sri Lanka Foundation is playing a catalytic role in promoting cultural and youth exchanges between India and Sri Lanka.
- The India - Sri Lanka Foundation was established by a Memorandum of Understanding between the governments of India and Sri Lanka in 1998 in order to foster India - Sri Lanka relations through the enhancement of economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation and to promote greater understanding between the people of the two countries.
