Signing of MoU for Cooperation between Federation of Indian Export Organisations of India and National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka
The High Commission of India in Colombo has been facilitating discussions among various organizations of India and Sri Lanka to promote bilateral economic partnership and identify new areas of cooperation, particularly with a view to support the MSME sector. One such discussion was facilitated between representatives of Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) and National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) in June 2025.
2. On 19 August 2025, Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) and National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) signed a MoU with the aim of exploring new opportunities for cooperation including information sharing, connecting partners for investment & trade etc.
3. The virtual signing ceremony was attended by the representatives of FIEO, led by Dr. Ajay Sahai, DG & CEO, FIEO and the representatives of NCE, led by Mr. Indra Kaushal Rajapaksha, President, NCE. Representatives from High Commission of India in Colombo also attended the virtual signing ceremony.
