All hand written PIO cards need to be converted to machine readable OCI cards before October 2018 as the International Civil Aviation Organization will accept only machine readable travel documents from October 2018. Hence all hand written PIO cards will become invalid travel document after October 2018. Conversion of PIO cards to OCI cards is free of charge until December 31, 2017.

All PIO card holders in Sri Lanka may apply for OCI card at our outsourcing agency IVS Global Lanka Ltd located at 129, Philip Gunawardena Mawatha (near Thumulla junction), Colombo-3.
