PRESS RELEASE
Indian Education Fair “Study in India”
The High Commission of India, Colombo is pleased to announce that Educational Consultants India Limited (EdCIL) will hold a 2-day Educational Fair “Study in India” at BMICH (Restaurant Hall) on Oct 15-16, 2016 from 1000 hrs to 1800 hrs. A large number of Indian Universities and Higher Education Institutions from India are participating in this two-day event. It will provide an opportunity for Sri Lankan students to explore with representatives of premier Indian Universities on possible higher education opportunities in India, including courses, career prospects and fee-structure, in various disciplines including engineering, management, commerce, science and arts.
A large number of Sri Lankan students take admission in Indian Universities, every year, for under graduate and post graduate studies. The proximity, cultural linkages and world class education at comparatively low costs have been the major attractions for Sri Lankan students to study in India. India also provides a large number of full-time scholarships in various disciplines at under graduate, post graduate and doctoral level courses, administered through the High Commission of India, in collaboration with Ministry of Higher Education & Highways, Sri Lanka.
