India lends a helping hand
To help in meeting the needs of people affected and displaced by floods and landslides caused by the incessant rains in Sri Lanka, the High Commission of India handed over relief goods today as humanitarian assistance to the National Disaster Relief Services Centre (NDRSC) of the Ministry of Disaster Management of Sri Lanka. The relief material was procured locally in Sri Lanka and included water purifiers, water purification tablets, buckets and cans, mats, mosquito nets, bed-sheets, towels and school exercise books.
