Building Tech Collaboration: Signing of MoU between IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation and Dialog Axiata

   A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation and Dialog Axiata in presence of High Commissioner of India, H.E. Santosh Jha, on 22 October 2026.

2. The MoU establishes a framework for collaboration, intended to connect international research and technical expertise with Sri Lankan industry & universities. The partnership will explore five key areas: innovation and incubation, applied research and university laboratories, artificial intelligence and human-centric solutions, industry skills and talent development, and international knowledge sharing.
   
   
3. The MoU was signed by Dr. M. J. Shankar Raman, CEO of IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation and Mr. Supun Weerasinghe, Group Chief Executive and Executive Director of Dialog Axiata PLC
   
   
4. On the sidelines of the signing ceremony, High Commissioner engaged with the senior leadership of Dialog Axiata in a fireside conversation on technology, trade, supply chains and trusted partnership.
   
   
5. The signing of MoU will advance technological and R&D partnership between India and Sri Lanka.
