A high profile six member delegation from the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce Industries & Agriculture (MCCIA) will be visiting Sri Lanka from 1-4 October 2009. The delegation is led by the Chamber’s President Mr. Mukesh Malhotra, who is also the Managing Director-Weikfield Products Co. (I) Ltd. The objective of the delegation is to develop and strengthen ties between Sri Lanka and the Pune region in India, a leading hub of Indian Automotive and IT Industry. During the visit, the delegation will also sign an MOU with the FCCISL (Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Sri Lanka) on mutual cooperation. It will also hold discussions with the FCCISL for promotion of trade and investments. The delegation members also plan to have one-on-one meetings with interested counterparts in the Sri Lankan business community.

MCCIA is a leading Regional Chamber from Pune, Mahrashtra, India and represents industries from Pune Region within Maharashtra in particular and India in general. It was established in 1934 for enhancing entrepreneurship in Maharashtra, with a vision to facilitate the transformation of Pune as a premier global destination for industry, trade, commerce and agriculture.
