OCI Miscellaneous Service

(I) OCI Miscellaneous Services are available in the event of:

1. Change of personal particulars viz. nationality

2. Loss/damage of OCI registration certificate/visa.

3. Erroneously entering wrong personal particulars while submitting online applications.

4. Change of address and occupation.

(ii) Requirements:

1. Hard copy of filled online application form

2. Two colour photographs with white background (2 into 2 Inches)

3. Copy of OCI card and OCI sticker

4. Copy of previous and new passport on getting new passport

5. Copy of police report on loss of OCI Card/passport

6. Applicant birth certificate

7. Proof of Indian origin

OCI Guidelines

Instructions about re-issuance/updation of Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cards – reg.

i). Re-issuance: An OCI cardholder shall have to get the OCI card re-issued once a new passport is issued after completing 20 years of age. For this purpose, OCI cardholder shall submit an application under OCI Miscellaneous services.  This service would be provided on payment basis.

ii) Updation

a) An OCI cardholder has to update the OCI card each time a new passport is issued irrespective of age except the case of re-issuance mentioned above. For this purpose, the OCI cardholder has to upload a copy of new passport containing the photo of passport holder and also a latest photo on the online system under OCI Miscellaneous services within 3 months of receipt of new passport to avail the service on gratis basis.

b) For Foreign Spouse category, OCI cardholder and his/her Indian/OCI Cardholder spouse shall give an additional declaration that their marriage is still subsisting and would upload (copy of passport of Indian spouse)/(passport and OCI card of OCI cardholder spouse) in addition to documents mentioned in para(a).
